hapi — Custom OAuth Bell Strategy to Connect With any Server

OAuth is a convenient authentication mechanism where users grant access to their account for a selected application. You as a developer can benefit from an authentication token that allows you to access the service on your users behalf. With OAuth you can connect services and build convenient integrations for your users.

In previous tutorials you’ve learned how to let users authenticate with GitHub or GitLab. Both authentication mechanisms work with OAuth using the bell package.

Bell offers predefined configurations for many OAuth providers and let’s you also configure your custom provider to connect with any OAuth server. This tutorial walks you through the process of setting up a custom provider!
